Suspect Identified in Dover Break-Ins
The man is accused of breaking into four homes while residents slept.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is looking for some help locating a man it says may be responsible for a string of burglaries in the Valrico area in December.
Deputies have obtained arrest warrants for Donnell Lamar Jones, 34, on charges including burglary, organized scheme to defraud, possession of a stolen credit card, fraudulent use of a credit card and grand theft. Jones’ last two known addresses were 621 Montana Ave. in Lakeland and 405 Pevetty Drive in Plant City.
Jones is wanted in connection with a burglary spree that occurred in Valrico between Dec. 30 and Dec. 31.

According to the sheriff’s office, a man broke into four homes while residents slept and took items such as purses and electronics. Two of the burglaries occurred on Golden Oak Lane, one happened on Royal Tuscan Lane and the fourth on Castle Stone Court.
In all four cases, the burglar entered through backdoors. In two of the cases, entry was forced, but in two doors were left unlocked.

Victims’ credit cards were used at stores throughout Hillsborough and Polk counties, leading detectives to a suspect, an email to media stated.
Anyone with information about Jones’ whereabouts is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200. Tips may also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers to be considered for a possible reward in the case.
