What You'll Need To Know About Stretch Of Hwy 60 Closure
Repairs underway could last for the next nine days.

TAMPA BAY, FL -- Heads up, folks, if you routinely or occasionally use Highway 60 or adjoining freeways in the Brandon region.
A portion of S.R. 60 is under closure for possibly more than a week as the Florida Department of Transportation replaces a railroad crossing and tracks.
The FDOT West Central - Tampa Area reported that as of Sunday the stretch of Highway 60 between Valrico Station Road and Skywood Drive will be closed to traffic and, depending on weather, could be shut down for nine days during the repairs.

Motorists will be detoured around the work zone on SR 39, Interstates 4 and 75, according to the department. Electronic message boards and detour signs will assist drivers.
If you are driving in the areas, expect heavier than normal volumes of traffic on all of these roads during this closure.
