Maldonado presented Cordiviola with a ceremonial coin before he was released from the hospital Tuesday. Cordiviola is also an Air Force Reserve Special Agent. Maldonado is the former Inspector General of Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base and now works at the St. Petersburg Police Department.
