On Saturday, May 2, Derby Day at Slipaway will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. The horse race will be broadcast live on several screens while guests sip on Buffalo Trace mint juleps, available in different flavors for $13. Slipaway will also have a selection of bourbons onsite. In the spirit of the race, attendees can also place charitable wagers, with proceeds benefiting Blessings in a Backpack SWFL.
Guests are encouraged to don their Derby hats for a chance to win one of Slipaway’s Derby competition categories, including Best Derby Hat, Best Dressed Individual and Best Dressed Couple.
