Anytime I travel to a new town, or move into a new house, I always seem to reminisce about my old homes.
Sometimes, a home to me would mean a duty station or an ex-lover's house that we made into our own. Everytime I moved, I would be so moved by the move that I would write. Every nervous inch of me that was anxious because of change would be forced to live on that paper until I read the words again. So, in the same spirit of change and old memories, I thought I would rewrite the poetry that I have here with me now. The poetry I am looking at is almost beige now, lined college ruled paper, with words written in the side note. I have doodled images of lines that came together like a tic-tac-toe board. I do that often when I write-I have something I am overly passionate about it, but then It leaves with no warning. I then have to doodle until I can find where I left off.

When the conversation of you is too deep-When I am afraid to fall asleep. Painfully I close my EyesI cringe and remember all of your lies.Beyond the shadowed memory, I find my way to the middle of my heartWhere my Love for you has been from the start. Your Love for me is made from the starsIt means so much more than all the money and the cars.If you could see the future in ten yearsWhen you come back and have taken away all of my fears. I can hear my heart race when you start to singI see our baby in the middle of our California King. 2005
