Do You Participate in Neighborhood Watch?
Neighborhood Watch is one of the most successful crime prevention programs in existence with multiple benefits. Does your neighborhood have one? If not, here's how.

After 40 years, Neighborhood Watch has become one of the oldest, most-effective, cost-efficient crime prevention programs in existence.
It involves neighbors getting to know neighbors, being alert to the potential of crime, and assisting local law enforcement as the "eyes and ears" of their neighborhood. The efforts put forth by the participants of an active Neighborhood Watch help the Sheriff's Office to thwart and apprehend criminal offenders, and make our community safer. Benefits of an Neighborhood Watch program include a reduction in crime, a better quality of life, and a fostering of community pride. Starting a Neighborhood Watch program is easy as 1, 2, 3.
- Determine your geographical watch area.
- Recruit and organize your members.
- Schedule a "start-up" meeting with your local law enforcement liaison.
