The driver behind the wheel when a school bus transporting children from Mary Bryant Elementary last week crashed into a pond faces careless driving charges.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that the crash resulted from careless driving on the part of Lenoir Sainfimin, 54. Deputies say Sainfimin was traveling at a high rate of speed last Thursday when the bus ran off Nine Eagles Road in Odessa and landed on its side in 4 feet of water.
