Viewfinder: Darren Peña Salon & Spa Grand Opening

Wednesday evening marked the grand opening of Darren Peña Salon & Spa, Carrollwood's new "green" salon.

The salon & spa will offer hair styling services, massage therapy, nail services and skin care.

Owner Darren Peña promises to pamper customers in an eco-friendly way; for example, clients will make appointments and sign receipts on iPads and iPods instead of paper, sit under environmentally-conscious LED lights and get a discount for walking or riding a bike to their appointment. The salon is also committed to fundraising for the 1 Voice Foundation, an organization working to help families affected by childhood cancer.
