Downtown Inverness Art Walk Returns September 19

Downtown Inverness will come alive with creativity, music, food and local shopping on Saturday, September 19, from 3–7 p.m. during the Downtown Inverness Art Walk, sponsored by the Inverness Art Co-Op.

The community is invited to stroll through downtown, visit participating businesses, meet local artists and enjoy an afternoon celebrating the arts and the vibrant downtown Inverness community.

The Art Walk will feature art, shopping, dining, entertainment, food and drink specials, and live demonstrations at participating businesses throughout downtown.

Entertainment for the afternoon will be provided by Jose Velandia Rangel, acoustic guitarist, adding live music to the Art Walk atmosphere.

Visitors can begin their Art Walk experience at the Inverness Art Co-Op, 109 N. Apopka Avenue, where they can pick up their Art Walk map and sticker. The map will help guide visitors to participating businesses and make it easy to explore all that downtown has to offer.

The Downtown Inverness Art Walk is more than an afternoon of shopping and entertainment—it is an opportunity to support local artists, small businesses and the Inverness community while discovering something new.

“Art has a wonderful way of bringing people together,” said representatives of the Inverness Art Co-Op. “We invite everyone to come downtown, enjoy the Art Walk, meet our local artists, visit participating businesses and make an afternoon of it.”
