Ocala City Council Gets Annual Update from Reilly Arts Center and Marion Theatre (352today.com) — Ocala residents just got a detailed update on how the Reilly Arts Center and Marion Theatre are boosting local culture and the economy, with tens of thousands of patrons and expanded music education. City council heard how these venues attract visitors, support downtown businesses, and provide scholarships and school partnerships that broaden access to the arts across Ocala.
   

2. Blueberries Take Over the McPherson Campus this Weekend (352today.com) — Ocala families can head to the McPherson Governmental Campus this Saturday and Sunday for the cash-only Blueberry Fest, running 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Expect kid-friendly activities, contests, a cirque show, petting zoo, and plenty of blueberry-themed treats, with $7 admission and free parking.
   

3. Marion County Pets: Pancake, Alyce, and Salami (wcjb.com) — If you’re in Ocala and looking to adopt, Marion County Animal Services is featuring Pancake, Alyce, and Salami—three affectionate dogs ready for new homes. Adoption is $50 and includes spay or neuter, license, vaccinations, and a microchip, with the shelter open Tuesday through Saturday.
   

4. Firefighters extinguish Ocala garage fire caused by golf cart (ocala-news.com) — Firefighters quickly knocked down a Thursday morning garage fire at a home on SW 106th Place in Ocala after a golf cart ignited inside. Multiple Marion County Fire Rescue stations responded, forced entry into the garage, removed the cart, and confirmed no one was inside, with no injuries reported.
   

5. Jennifer Williams On Joppe K Wins Ocala CDI4* Freestyle (dressage-news.com) — An international-caliber dressage win just played out in Ocala, where Jennifer Williams and Joppe K captured the World Equestrian Center CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle with a 75.460% score. Judges were split among the top three, but the electric atmosphere and crowd-pleasing freestyle helped secure Williams’ first Big Tour musical victory on home soil.
