Families & Friends Reaching for Abilities (FFRA), in partnership with the Art Center of Citrus County, will present “A Kaleidoscope of Color,” an Abilities Fine Art Gala, on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Art Center of Citrus County, 2644 N Annapolis, Hernando.
The inspiring evening will celebrate the artistic talents and creativity of developmentally delayed and intellectually challenged artists, providing an opportunity for their work to be showcased and their accomplishments recognized by the community.

Guests are invited to enjoy an evening filled with creativity and entertainment. The schedule includes:
•6–7 p.m. — Art Viewing

•7–8 p.m. — Wine, Music & Desserts
•8 p.m. — Program & Auction
The evening will provide guests with an opportunity to view the artists’ work, enjoy music and refreshments, learn more about the importance of supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and participate in an auction.

About FFRA
Families & Friends Reaching for Abilities (FFRA) is a Citrus County nonprofit organization committed to empowering developmentally disabled and intellectually challenged adults, along with their families, caregivers and friends. FFRA enriches lives through education, resources, advocacy and socialization, while providing opportunities for individuals to participate in meaningful community activities.
Founded by parents who recognized the need for reliable resources for families of developmentally disabled individuals, FFRA has grown into an organization dedicated to improving the welfare, safety and quality of life of intellectually and developmentally challenged adults in Citrus County. The organization provides educational and support resources, hosts social and recreational activities, and creates opportunities for members to build relationships and become more connected with the community.
The Abilities Fine Art Gala is a wonderful example of FFRA’s commitment to providing opportunities for individuals to express themselves, share their talents and be recognized for their abilities. The annual art event gives artists a platform to showcase their creativity while helping the broader community see the remarkable talents and contributions of people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
