84-Year-Old Clearwater Man Dies From Injuries Following Crash

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — An 84-year-old Clearwater man who was critically injured in a crash Friday morning has died from his injuries.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 7:35 a.m. a 21-year-old Tampa woman was driving a car on McMullen Booth Road south of Tampa Road when she crossed over the raised center median and collided nearly head on with an SUV driven by a 79-year-old Clearwater woman.

Both the Clearwater woman and her 84-year-old male passenger were taken to the hospital with critical injuries where the man died.

The 21-year-old woman sustained serious injuries.
