CLEARWATER, FL — A body discovered by construction workers behind the Countryside Recreation Center Friday has been identified as a 16-year-old girl.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said construction workers arriving for work reported the body at 7:37 a.m. lying on the Duke Energy easement behind the center at 2640 Sabal Springs Drive.

Detectives said the teen's death appears to be the result of a drug overdose.
