Car Catches Fire On Courtney Campbell Causeway With Family Inside

CLEARWATER, FL -- Westbound drivers on the Courtney Campbell Causeway encountered some traffic delays Saturday, Aug. 11, after a car caught fire about a mile west of the Pinellas-Hillsborough county line.

Clearwater Fire & Rescue and Clearwater Police responded to the scene after receiving a call at 5:41 p.m. A family of four -- two adults and two children -- were in the 2008 Chrysler Sebring went it caught on fire. They were able to escape without injury.
