Clearwater Beach Named Best In America

CLEARWATER, FL — There’s no beach in the country that’s better than Clearwater.

At least that’s the opinion of TripAdvisor readers who voted to name Clearwater Beach the No. 1 beach in America. The honor was announced recently on the travel website as part of its 2016 Travelers’ Choice awards program.

“The sugar fine white sand is a trademark of this fabulous beach,” the site says, adding that it is a great destination year-round.

While Clearwater earned No. 1 honors on the Top 25 list, it wasn’t the only Florida destination named. In fact, the Sunshine State is well represented on the list with these beaches also earning recognition:

• Siesta Beach – No. 3
• St. Pete Beach – No. 4
• Pensacola Beach – No. 7
• St. Augustine Beach – No. 9
• Beach at Panama City – No. 10
• Henderson Beach State Park – No. 11
• Fort Myers Beach – No. 18
• Las Olas Beach – No. 20
• Navarre Beach – No. 23
