Clearwater Police Nab Accused Bic Bandit

Clearwater Police have arrested the so-called Bic Bandit, accused of repeatedly stealing disposable lights from a convenience store.

CLEARWATER, FL – Clearwater Police have arrested the so-called Bic Bandit, accused of repeatedly stealing displays of disposable lights from a convenience store.

Clearwater Police say Norris Thompson, 54, walked into the 7-Eleven at 657 Court St. four times this month, each time stealing trays of Bic lighters. (See related story).

knife and I'll slice you up."

Thompson also faces charges related to thefts from a nearby Publix, where he stole frozen shrimp and fried chicken.

He is being held in the Pinellas County Jail on multiple charges, including robbery and petit theft.
