Clearwater is Rewarding its Recyclers with an Airfare Certificate!

It has been over a year since the city of Clearwater became a Recycling Perks participating city, and it is time to celebrate.

“The city of Clearwater strives to provide residents with the best possible service, the latest innovations, and continuing opportunities to help the environment. To further this commitment, the city’s partnership with Recycling Perks encourages recycling and promotes local businesses that offer incentives to residents who
recycle. To celebrate this milestone, Recycling Perks is giving away a $1,000 certificate for airfare that one lucky account holder can use toward a vacation for two!”, wrote George Cretekos, Mayor of Clearwater, in his letter to the residents who aren’t signed up yet.

Every resident of the city of Clearwater who is a new or existing Recycling Perks member on or before May 31, 2017, is eligible to win. No purchase is necessary — just sign up for your free account to be entered into the contest. There is no cost to residents to join this recycling incentive program. Residents who sign up receive points each time they recycle curb-side, which can then be used to get great discounts and freebies from local participating retailers.

The more you recycle, the more money you can save! By recycling regularly, Solid Waste residential customers can save up to $25 a month, or up to $300 each year in local discounts. If you have not already signed up for your free Recycling Perks account, register today:

• Once enrolled, your blue recycling cart will be automatically assigned to your household. If your cart is not automatically associated, you can add it to your online account by entering the serial number found on
the front of your blue recycling cart.
• Every time your recycling gets picked up at the curb on your regular pick-up day, the associated Recycling Perks account will automatically receive 25 points.
• Log in 24/7 to RecyclingPerks.com, and trade in your earned points for discounts from local businesses.
