In Clearwater: Community Invited to Celebrate Local Heroes

Clearwater, FL ~ Mothers of Minors, Inc. will host a Sponsor & Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on March 12, 2016 at the Clearwater MLK Jr Neighborhood Center, 1201 Douglas Ave, from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm to celebrate the community heroes who dedicate their time towards helping their neighbors in need.

The community is invited to come out to celebrate our local heroes with a special recognition dinner and to be inspired by their stories of service to our neighbors in need. From a 15 year old who encouraged her family to donate Christmas wishes to needy children in lieu of her presents to a NFL player who grew up in North Greenwood and who donated funds towards purchasing over 20 bicycles for children in our community to a local small business owner who offered to help collect gifts by setting up a Giving Tree and promoting the Christmas for the Kids effort, M.O.M.'s volunteers were honored by these extra special gestures towards our efforts to bring hope to families in need in Pinellas County. Many others will also be recognized at this event for their extraordinary efforts in our community.

In 2015, our honored volunteers enabled Mothers of Minors, Inc. to assist over 120 families with emergency assistance, school supplies, baby supplies through their “Showers of Love” Baby shower and fulfilled ”Kids Wishes for Christmas” during the Family Christmas Party.

"The support of our community partners is vital in the everyday operation of M.O.M., Inc. and goes a long way in bringing hope to the families that are served by our mission," explained Andrea Clark, President of M.O.M., Inc. "We are excited about spotlighting these local heroes and are seeking to bring more inspiration to the community through their stories of service to our neighbors in need."

This event will also be a fundraising effort for the Second Annual MOM, Inc Showers of Love Community Baby Shower to be held in July 2016 and that will bless moms and moms-to-be with items to ensure the health and well being of their children.
