Conde Nast Traveler recently compiled a list of The 50 Most Beautiful Places in America and listings of The Best New Hotels in the U.S.: Hot List 2016. Among the Florida mentions -- a bridge in Florida and two new hotels.
Perhaps no surprise to Floridians, but the gorgeous Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys ranked as one of the The 50 Most Beautiful Places in America.
"You've heard about the spacious skies and amber waves of grain, but what about the painted deserts, prismatic hot springs, giant redwood forests, and stunning bridges and national monuments? You could spend a lifetime exploring the sites of America, all as beautiful as they are diverse," Conde Nast editors wrote.

"Opened in December 2015, Faena Hotel Miami Beach is the larger-than-life hotel component of Alan Faena’s billion-dollar Faena Arts District, a multi-block reinvention of the historic buildings from 32nd to 36th streets along Collins Avenue, with residential and retail components," Conde Nast said, adding that the interior is a "bastion of eclectic modernism."
1 Hotel South Beach opened in late spring 2015 and "is currently South Beach’s most talked-about locale," according to the travel writers.
"The use of recycled and repurposed woods, preserved moss, petrified branches, and driftwood lighting foster a sense of Zen and underscore a timeless, nature-inspired aesthetic. ... The hotel nestles one of Miami’s best patches of beach and is crowned by a palm-laced, lounger-lined, adult-only, 110-foot rooftop swimming pool."
