Learn CPR For Free At Clearwater Fire & Rescue
The department has announced a number of upcoming class dates city residents are encouraged to attend.

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater residents who want to be able to take action in a crisis will find several upcoming opportunities to learn CPR for free.
Clearwater Fire & Rescue has announced plans to offer free courses to city residents in the coming months.
“Early intervention by someone who knows CPR before rescue crews are able to arrive is integral to a patient’s survival,” the agency explained in an email to media. “Fire department officials are hoping to train more Clearwater residents to learn this life-saving procedure.”

Upcoming classes are planned for the third Saturday of each month, starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 1 p.m. All sessions will take place at Station 45, 1140 Court St.
“Those who successfully complete the class will be issued an American Heart Association Provider card, as well as a certificate from Clearwater Fire & Rescue,” the agency said.

To register for a class, residents need to contact Deborah Humes at 727-562-4334, Ext. 3048, or by email at deborah.humes@myclearwater.com. Registrants are asked to provide their names, address, phone and email, along with their preferred class date. The courses are only available to residents of the City of Clearwater.
Upcoming class dates include March 19, April 16, May 21, June 18, July 16, Aug. 20, Sept. 17, Oct. 15 and Nov. 19.
