Lightning Wins Equal More Free McDonald's
Tampa Bay area McDonald's are offering another freebie when the Lightning win in Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

TAMPA BAY, FL — The Tampa Bay Lightning’s advance to round two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs is reason to celebrate. At least, that’s what McDonald’s throughout the region seem to think.
The chain is once again offering a freebie via the McDonald’s app. Every time the Bolts win in round two against the New York Islanders, Bolts' fans with the McDonald’s app will be able to get a free large sandwich with the purchase of one regularly priced large sandwich the day after the game.
“The Lightning are on to Round 2 of the Playoffs and McDonald’s of Tampa Bay is celebrating,” Tampa Bay area McDonald’s spokeswoman Jessica Fox told Patch. “Our Round 1 Lightning Win, You Win mobile offer generated unprecedented interest and engagement and we gave away more than 100,000 Extra Value Meals in just four days.”

The Lightning won four of five games in its round one series against the Detroit Red Wings.
The McDonald’s app provides customers with access to a variety of promotions, Fox said. The Lightning offer is just one. The McDonald’s app is available for free download in both the Apple App Store and on Google Play.

A total of 202 McDonald’s locations in 13 Tampa Bay area counties are anticipated to participate in the giveaway.
The Lightning take on the Islander’s April 27 in Tampa. Start time is 7 p.m. Game two is set to take place Saturday, April 30, at 3 p.m. That game will also be played in Tampa. Other dates in the series are May 3 and May 6. If games five, six and seven are required, they’ll be played on May 8, May 10 and May 12, respectively.
