Man Burglarizing Vehicles Fled Officers On Scooter: Clearwater Police

An armed man suspected of burglarizing vehicles was arrested after trying to get away from officers by scooter, Clearwater police said.

CLEARWATER, FL — An armed man suspected of burglarizing vehicles was arrested early Monday morning after trying to get away from officers on a scooter, Clearwater police wrote in a social media post.

Officers responded to reports of vehicles being burglarized in the 1200 block of Grove Street around 3 a.m.

The suspect, later identified as Christian Lee, 22, tried to get away from them, first by scooter and then on foot, police said.

Lee, who was armed with a gun, was charged with armed burglary and resisting an officer without violence.
