Manos Bakery Reopening Soon

The business is still hammering out the details after a Saturday accident forced its closing.

Clearwater area residents with a taste for the treats Manos Bakery and Café serves up can rest assured the eatery has plans to reopen. Just how soon that will happen, however, remains up in the air.

The 1971 Drew St. bakery and café was forced to close down after car careened into the storefront following a two-vehicle collision outside on Sept. 19. The car drove right inside the restaurant, leaving extensive damage in its wake.

Manos Bakery’s Rodia Kranias told Patch work is under way to make repairs, but it’s still too early to estimate how soon an opening can happen. Right now, Kranias estimates it will be a few weeks before visitors can stop by for European-style pastries, bread, cookies, sandwiches and the other items Manos is known for.
