Musical Tastes Clash In Clearwater

Clearwater music venues did something interesting on Valentine’s Day this year by hosting two different concerts in one night, less than a mile apart.

While a younger generation gathered at the Baycare Sound at Coachman Park for an electronic dance music (EDM) concert headlined by Denver based artist INZO, another took place at the Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre featuring five time Grammy winning blues artist Keb’ Mo’.

These artists and their audiences seem worlds apart.

Cleveland Street restaurants served concertgoers before the Keb’ Mo’ concert while passersbys with bright clothes, colorful hair, and glow sticks made their way to the INZO experience.

This clash of musical tastes hit Clearwater and it could happen again.

With the line up of artists and bands scheduled throughout the year, music is drawing various generations to downtown Clearwater.
