1. Clearwater Marine Aquarium celebrates Hispanic Heritage (baynews9.com) — Clearwater Marine Aquarium is marking Hispanic Heritage Month by spotlighting Cuban-born conservation biologist Dr. Anmari Álvarez-Alemán, its new Senior Vice President of Research and Conservation. Clearwater families can join the celebration at a Latin night this Saturday from 6–9 p.m., where dancing by the dolphins will help raise funds for local conservation efforts.
   

2. Florida Surgeon Represents Himself in Death Penalty Murder Trial (crimeandcask.com) — In a closely watched Clearwater case, former plastic surgeon Tomasz Kosowski was found guilty of first-degree murder in attorney Steven Cozzi's disappearance after representing himself and waiving a jury, with the judge deliberating only about 15 minutes. The case now moves to a death-penalty phase, where Kosowski still plans to act as his own lawyer while Cozzi's family awaits final sentencing.
   

3. Honeywell adding specialized testing space in Clearwater (stpetecatalyst.com) — Honeywell is investing $3.5 million to add a specialized testing facility, including a centrifuge, at its Clearwater aerospace campus, one of Pinellas County's largest private employers. The project supports work on NASA's Artemis program and could influence future production capacity and high-tech jobs in Clearwater.
   

4. '70s Rock Band Little Feat Announces End of Farewell Tour (parade.com) — Little Feat's extended farewell tour will end with a final show at The BayCare Sound in Clearwater on March 7, 2027, giving local fans one last chance to see the band's large-scale performance. The early 2027 leg adds 11 U.S. dates, with Old Crow Medicine Show supporting the concluding Florida shows, including Clearwater.
