Pinellas Safe Harbor Clients 'Take Bite Out Of Grime'

Pinellas Safe Harbor clients and volunteers are set to participate in the sixth annual "Take a Bite Out Of Grime" event.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL -- Pinellas Safe Harbor clients and volunteers are set to participate in the sixth annual "Take a Bite Out Of Grime" event, a community cleanup around Pinellas Safe Harbor and the Highpoint area.

Coordinated by Pinellas Safe Harbor, the Pinellas Sheriff's Special Services Section and community policing deputies, the event will take place Saturday, Feb. 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants will meet at Pinellas Safe Harbor, 14840 49th St. N. in Clearwater. Then dozens of Pinellas Safe Harbor clients and other volunteers will be shuttled to various locations for the cleanup. They will return to Pinellas Safe Harbor at 12:15 p.m. for a lunch, prizes for the clients and closing remarks.

Pinellas Safe Harbor is an emergency homeless shelter and a jail-diversion program designed to be a safe haven for people who are homeless and require services to get back on their feet.
