Proposed Law Aims to Legalize Beer Growlers
Sale of the 64-ounce bottles is currently banned in Florida.

Beer lovers may soon have a new option for bringing home their favorite microbrews.
Florida Sen. Jack Latvala, R-Clearwater, and Rep. Chris Sprowls, R-Palm Harbor, have joined forces to “take on the fight for Florida’s microbreweries by introducing legislation that will legalize the sale of 64-ounce beer ‘growlers’ in” the state, according to a media release.
The two elected officials plan to announce their proposed legislation during a Tuesday news conference at Dunedin Brewery, 937 Douglas Ave.
