CLEARWATER, FL — On Friday, May 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., Pinellas County officials, local advocates and community residents will gather for a ribbon cutting and subsequent celebration of the new MobiMat at Sand Key Park in Clearwater, 1060 Gulf Blvd., Clearwater.

Sand Key Beach Grill, the park's permanent on-site food truck, will have food available for purchase during the event. HUG encourages members of the community of all abilities to join in the festivities.

Local advocates have been working to bring this mobility mat to Sand Key Beach for years, and are ready to celebrate this accomplishment with the community. The effort to install the new MobiMat was made possible by a partnership between HUG, Pinellas County, Disability Achievement Center and The Michael and Robin Lally Forward Foundation, which donated the grant to fund the MobiMat purchase.
