Shark Week Returns
Discovery Channel kicks off its popular series Sunday at 8 p.m.

Grab those television remotes and prepare to indulge on all things shark.
The folks at Discovery Channel have announced the return of Shark Week, just in time for post-4th of July festivities. The annual binge-watchers’ paradise returns to the network Sunday at 8 p.m. with the premier of “Shark Trek.” This feature takes a deep dive into the work of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s study on Atlantic great whites.
For those brave enough to keep watching, Shark Week continues with a host of all-new features. Some of the titles in this year’s lineup include, “Bride of Jaws,” “Ninja Sharks” and “Return of the Great White Serial Killer.”

Shark Week, now in its 28th year, kicks off this year a bit earlier than normal features more programs than ever before, Discovery Channel noted in a media release.

Fans who can’t get enough in July will find a special addition to this year’s lineup coming in August, as well.
“Discovery is introducing a special weekend of all-new Shark Week programming at the end of summer in August, officially making 2015 the ‘Summer of the Shark’ with a total of 19 hours of Prime Time Shark Week programming,” the network’s media release said.
The lineup for July’s festivities is as followings, according to Discovery Channel:
- “Shark Trek” – July 5, 8 p.m.
- “Island of the Mega Shark” – July 5, 9 p.m.
- “Monster Mako” – July 5, 10 p.m.
- “Return of the Great White Serial Killer” – July 6, 9 p.m.
- “Alien Sharks: Close Encounters” – July 6, 10 p.m.
- “Bride of Jaws” – July 7, 9 p.m.
- “Tiburones: Sharks of Cuba” – July 7, 10 p.m.
- “Super Predator” – July 8, 9 p.m.
- “Ninja Sharks” – July 8, 10 p.m.
- “Shark Planet” – July 9, 9 p.m.
- “Sharks of the Shadowland” – July 10, 9 p.m.
- “Shark Clans” – July 10, 10 p.m.
- “Sharksanity 2” – July 11, 9 p.m.
- “Shark Island” – July 12, 8 p.m.
