Thousands Gather at Coachman Park for Clearwater Community Volunteers’ 29th Annual Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt

CLEARWATER, Fla. • April 5, 2026 — Coachman Park was transformed into a lively springtime celebration on Easter Sunday as nearly 6,000 children and families attended the Clearwater Community Volunteers’ (CCV) 29th Annual Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt, continuing a beloved decades-long community tradition.

Sponsored by the Church of Scientology, the festivities began at 11 a.m., with anticipation building until 12:30 p.m., when children raced across the park’s Green in a dash to gather their share of 20,000 colorful Easter eggs filled with more than 45,000 pieces of candy.

Among them, lucky participants who discovered special golden eggs earned a trip to “Bunny Central,” where they selected plush prizes to take home.

Beyond the egg hunt, families enjoyed a wide variety of activities throughout the afternoon, including:

• Live entertainment
• Kiddie carousel and train rides
• Bounce houses
• Face painting stations
• Cinderella carriage photo opportunities
• Visits with the Easter Bunny

“My family came to this Easter event last year and had so much fun,” said one attendee. “What I really like about this event is, it is very family-friendly, and there is so much for the kids to do and enjoy. I want to really thank the Church of Scientology and the Clearwater Community Volunteers for what you do. It’s very special you put this on for the community.”

“This event is so joyous,” said Pam Ryan Anderson, chairwoman of the event. “The CCV and I love creating a fun day where families can come together and make lasting memories.”

“We are very excited to see the CCV back this year with their Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt,” said Lisa Mansell, Community Affairs Director for the Church of Scientology, sponsor of the event. “Judging by the smiles throughout the park, the CCV truly achieved their goal.”

When not producing large-scale events such as Winter Wonderland and the Easter Egg Hunt, the Clearwater Community Volunteers support local charities year-round, providing essential items ranging from school supplies to full Thanksgiving meals for families in need.
