Three Clearwater Natives Win Titles at National Bridge Championships
Sally and Jeff Meckstroth and Eric Rodwell of Clearwater Beach, Fla., won national titles at the Fall North American Bridge Championships.

Sally and Jeff Meckstroth and Eric Rodwell of Clearwater Beach, Fla., brought home national titles from two of 10 championship-level events at the Fall North American Bridge Championships (NABCs) held in Providence, R.I., from Nov. 27 to Dec. 7. Sally Meckstroth led her team of five to win the 10K Swiss Teams event, while Jeff Meckstroth and Rodwell played on the winning team of the Baze Senior Knockout Teams event.
Meckstroth and Rodwell are the most winning partnership in bridge history. The couple is known among the bridge community as “Meckswell.” Meckstroth has 57 North American championships, and Rodwell has 56.
The NABCs are held three times a year across the U.S. and Canada to bring together players of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, with opportunities for everyone to play daily from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The 2015 Spring NABCs will be held in New Orleans, La., from March 12 to March 22.
