• After Landfill Battle, Coconut Creek Faces New Decision That Could Shape Trash Costs for Decades (tapinto.net) — Coconut Creek commissioners will vote Thursday on a revised agreement with Broward County’s Solid Waste Authority that could add about $78,000 a year in city costs and later a special assessment on residents. The deal would lock in long-term trash, yard waste, and recycling arrangements, set price ceilings, and shape how the city uses facilities like Monarch Hill Landfill for decades.
