• Dade City Commissioners Advance $84.5M Budget (hernandosun.com) — Dade City commissioners have tentatively approved a $84.5 million 2026-27 budget and a slightly lower rolled-back property tax rate, with a final public hearing set for Sept. 29 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting also saw a major proposed Rolling Hills development district withdrawn after nearby residents raised concerns, and commissioners issued proclamations recognizing several civic observances. 
• Reyes' Interception Secures Pasco's Double-OT Win Over Fivay (hernandosun.com) — A standout Pasco High performance by Dade City senior Gio Reyes helped the Pirates edge Fivay in a double-overtime thriller, highlighted by his game-ending interception. Reyes, who chose to stay in Dade City rather than transfer, also powered the offense on the ground as Pasco matched its total wins from the previous two seasons.
