• Cops: Fort Pierce man charged with dumping dog in Daytona Beach Shores (bradenton.com) — Daytona Beach Shores police say they watched a driver push a dog from a pickup at Liberty Street and Van Avenue, then drive away, leading to an animal abandonment charge. The dog is now safe at the Southeast Volusia Humane Society, and the accused Fort Pierce man is out on bond while awaiting an October court date.
