• Holy Cross Health Opens $41 Million Deerfield Beach Center and Breaks Ground in Fort Lauderdale (southfloridahospitalnews.com) — Deerfield Beach residents now have a new Holy Cross Health Center & Emergency Care on South Federal Highway, offering a 24/7 freestanding emergency department plus primary care, specialists, therapy, and on-site lab and imaging. The $41 million facility is designed to cut travel time for urgent and routine care, while a separate Fort Lauderdale center is under construction for additional regional services.
   

• MATURITY: 48-Year-Old Man Charged With Street Racing In Boca Raton (bocanewsnow.com) — A Deerfield Beach resident was arrested in Boca Raton after police say he raced another driver on Federal Highway and then tried to evade officers in a grey Ferrari. The 48-year-old man, who lists a Deerfield Beach address, faces charges of racing on highways and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement before being booked and later released on bond.
