• Explosion At Solid Waste Authority In Delray Beach (bocanewsnow.com) — Firefighters are responding to a propane tank explosion and active fire at the Solid Waste Authority transfer station on SW 4th Street in Delray Beach, and traffic in the area is already being affected. Crews from more than ten units have been on scene since shortly after noon Saturday, and residents are urged to avoid the area south of Linton Boulevard and west of Dixie Highway while the situation continues. 
• Boris Becker claims Spain has another tennis ‘diamond' after Carlos Alcaraz (thetennisgazette.com) — Delray Beach tennis fans will recognize their hometown tournament in rising Spanish player Rafael Jodar’s early-season results, as he notched a win at the Delray Beach Open. The 19-year-old has since broken through to an ATP 500 semifinal in Barcelona, drawing praise from legend Boris Becker as Spain’s next potential “diamond” after Carlos Alcaraz.
• Pancreatic cancer mRNA vaccine shows lasting results in an early trial (nbcnews.com) — A 72-year-old Delray Beach resident is among the first pancreatic cancer patients to receive a personalized mRNA vaccine, and she remains cancer-free six years later. Researchers report that many early-stage patients in the small trial showed strong, lasting immune responses, suggesting this experimental approach could eventually improve survival for one of the deadliest cancers, though much larger studies are still needed.
