• 'It's substantial': Delray Beach residents raise concerns over steep drop-off after renourishment project (wpbf.com) — A $19 million beach renourishment project in Delray Beach has left parts of the shoreline with a steep 5–7 foot drop-off, making access tougher for many older and disabled residents. City Commissioner Juli Casale says the slope is a common weather-related effect and crews are already redistributing sand, but there’s no firm timeline yet for when access will improve.
   

• POOL REPORT: Many Community, HOA Pools Rated 'Unsatisfactory' By Health Inspector (bocanewsnow.com) — Delray Beach residents should know that 13 local community and condo pools received “unsatisfactory” health inspection ratings between March 1 and May 7, 2026. Palm Beach County inspectors flagged issues at pools and spas in Delray Beach, Boca Raton, and Boynton Beach, though many violations may have been corrected after inspection.
   

• Following the deaths of 196 people, America's deadliest railway faces additional issues as it drowns in $5.5 billion in debt (brinkwire.com) — Brightline’s mounting $5.5 billion debt and heavy losses are raising doubts about the future of the high‑speed rail line that serves South Florida, including Delray Beach. The railroad, already under fire after deadly crashes and a 2024 collision with Delray Beach fire vehicles, is scrambling for new investors and restructuring options while pledging to keep operating in Florida.
