Dunedin Man Wins $550,000 Lottery Jackpot
The man chose a lump-sum payment of $423,113.15, according to Florida Lottery officials.

DUNEDIN, FL — A 57-year-old Dunedin resident struck it big on the Florida Lottery’s Lucky Money game recently.
David Ferrier picked the correct numbers in the March 18 drawing, paving the way for a $550,000 win. The lottery reports Ferrier opted to receive his winnings in a single, lump-sum payment of $423,113.15. The winning ticket was a quick pick purchased at Winn-Dixie, 1296 County Road 1 in Dunedin, according to the lottery.
Lucky Money jackpots start at $550,000 and can climb to as much as $2 million. Players choose four numbers and a "Lucky Ball." Drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday nights at 11:15 p.m. For more details about the game, visit the Florida Lottery online.

Ferrier’s lottery windfall is just a few of those recently earned by Tampa Bay area residents. In February, a Largo woman claimed a $43 million prize in the Florida Lotto and opted to give the money away.
