Local group from Clearwater and Dunedin record first cd. It’s exploratory and eclectic and it works. Their releasing it on April 30th at the Dunedin House of Beer.
They met at an open mic in Dunedin. Then the boys from Between Bluffs began working on a recording project in Justin Davis' studio in Clearwater in February 2010, recording songs written by Jerrod Simpson. These songs explore many different genres including: ska, blues, country, folk, bluegrass, rock, pop, and gypsy music.
After recording some music, the group began playing gigs in the Tampa Bay Area performing their new songs. This led to writing their music together and the recording of their first cd, Mountain Nearing.

Between Bluffs typically plays as an acoustic trio with Brad Myers, Justin Davis, and Jerrod Simpson switching back and forth between: upright bass, guitar, mandolin, and banjo. They also call on the help of long-time friend, Joe Russek III, to play drums as well.
