Meet Terry Fortner, who with Suzanne Thorp, compiled "Caladesi Cookbook: Recipes of a Florida Lifetime." Fortner and Thorp are the granddaughters of Myrtle Scharrer Betz, who lived 40 years of her life on Caladesi and whose recipes reflect life and times on the island.
Proceeds from this preview edition of the cookbook benefit Caladesi Island State Park. Sale price is $20.
Refreshments will include samples of the cookbook's recipes.
