• Breaking: Missing 12-year-old with autism sparks concerns in Edgewater (clickorlando.com) — Edgewater police are urgently searching for 12-year-old Brayden Milham Hopson, an autistic boy who walked away from his home Thursday night near Regent and Bond Street off Mango Tree Drive. Residents are asked not to approach him, but to keep him in sight if possible and immediately call 911 or the police tip line with any information.
   

• Boaters rescued after capsizing in Mosquito Lagoon near Oak Hill (bluewaterhealthyliving.com) — Edgewater and Volusia fire crews helped New Smyrna Beach’s marine unit rescue three men after their boat capsized in Mosquito Lagoon near Oak Hill late Tuesday night. Thanks to quick coordination, including a sheriff’s helicopter and the Coast Guard, the boaters were found clinging to their overturned vessel, all wearing flotation devices, and brought safely to shore without injuries.
