• Man gets 20 years in prison in scheme to exploit Miami-Dade woman, 94, out of home (nbcmiami.com) — A 94-year-old El Portal homeowner was exploited out of cash and control of her longtime house, but the man responsible has now been sentenced to 20 years in prison plus probation. Prosecutors say he redirected her benefits, changed her locks, and tried to add himself to the home’s title before investigators intervened.
