Assault on single rider by Zipper ride operator just witnessed.

The ride operator of the Zipper, a popular carnival ride at the Bonita Holiday festival, was just seen bashing a single rider in the nose and violently hurling him backwards into the ground. I saw the single rider in line waiting his turn to go on, and next thing, I hear; "Aaaaagh!" coming from that same direction and I see the same guy on the ground with the ride operator standing over him verbally threatening him. A few minutes later I saw him sitting at a nearby table, his nose bleeding. It's no surprise any longer they never set up single rider lines for the Zipper (ride). And to make matters worse, no Zipper (ride) in the United States has allowed single riders on since 2008.

Anyone who does this to single riders, I'd say they belong in Afghanistan.

With the extreme vast majority of single riders, they want to experience the ride, but there is nobody available to ride with them, so in the extreme vast majority of cases, the single rider doesn't have a choice except to go on solo.

Now I personally have gone as a single rider on the Zipper when most of them were still letting single riders on (about 2005 and prior). A grown adult or teenager even as young as 15 riding solo on the Zipper can not turn sideways inside the gondolas and slip out from under the lap bar; that lap bar is too tight against the waist to allow that to happen, especially when in combination with the shape of the gondola. And it's not about balancing the ride either; I've seen a Zipper ride operating with two riders in one gondola, and the 11 other gondolas were empty, and the ride ran like a champion.
