Dixie Roadhouse has really whittled down their "party hour" badly

Most of us remember Dixie Roadhouse's old days. The country music and line dance lessons with the DJ counting "5, 6, 7, 8" would go until about 11 pm or so. The song "Cotton Eye Joe" by Rednex would signal the end of the nonstop country music and the start of party hour, which went from around 11 pm until the club closed at 2 or 3 in the morning. Right after "Cotton Eye Joe" finished playing, the party began, women grabbed guys from the sidelines, and danced and got down with them on the dance floor under the big fan and had fun until 2 or 3 in the morning. Usually one of the first songs played during party period was "Vem Dancar Kuduro." The club was nonstop line dancing from 7 pm to 11 pm, but after 11, the line dancing was much more fragmented as everyone was having fun getting down and dancing, juking with others because they didn't hear that "5, 6, 7, 8" from the DJ.

In 2012, Dixie was playing a lot of classic music, classic rock, and slow songs after about 10 pm, although the list was not quite as organized as at Ricochet, which had it's slow songs at 2 in a row every half hour.

But as of today, Dixie has really whittled down it's party hour; in the entire time span from 7 pm to 3 am, last night (Saturday 4/8/2023) they had but 7 minutes (1:00-1:07 am) of freestyle partying, then it was right back to "5, 6, 7, 8" at the start of every song all the way until 3 in the morning.
