Dixie Roadhouse. One huge endless line dance lesson?

From the way the DJ counts at every song, it would appear as if freestyle dancing were against the rules.

People who go to the popular Cape Coral nightclub known as Dixie Roadhouse may have noticed the DJ counts "Five, six, seven, eight" at the start of about every single song that's played between 7 pm and 2 in the morning. Now it is very possible to dance freestyle to country music. I have seen it before, people getting into the familiar "K" position and grinding and getting down freestyle to country songs. But when the DJ counts at every song, people think they have to line dance, as if freestyle dancing will get them kicked out of the club and told to leave. The DJ counting at the start of every single song between 7 pm and 2 am and never taking requests (especially with people that miss the classic oldies from the 80s and 90s) really makes Dixie Roadhouse feel like one huge endless line dance lesson, basically even a sort of 7-hour long "line dance school" instead of a nightclub, every single night until 2 in the morning.

Complicating things farther, the DJ at Dixie Roadhouse does not take or play song requests, so if you want to hear something from the 80s, 90s, if you want to hear a classic rock song, or if you want to hear a slow song, you are totally out of luck unless you go to another nightclub. You could write your request on a hundred dollar bill, give it to the DJ, but he will never play your request.
