Eagle Cam: Watch Live Video Of Eagle Hatch, Join Newborn Sibling

FORT MYERS, FL — Floridians are avidly watching the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam livestream as two eagle eggs hatch in a nest in the Fort Myers area. One eaglet that hatched before Christmas is feeding, while the second egg has yet to hatch.
On Friday morning, cameras caught one of the parents hunkered over the fluffy gray newborn, then the parent briefly left the nest, giving viewers a closeup of the fuzzy raptor. This is the fifth year that the pair of eagles dubbed Harriet and M15 have mated and had offspring.
Four cameras livestream images of the birds 24/7 directly via the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam site. One camera is positioned 6 feet above the bald eagle nesting tree for close-up views. The moderators say the camera is equipped with night-vision light, which emits no actual light and does not make noise. The bald eagles do not see or hear anything coming from the camera, operators say.
