Gift-giving visit becomes 135 years prison for Mississippi man.

Jackson, MS; A Mississippi man was sentenced Monday, September 27th to 135 years in prison for disrupting the business environment when he allegedly visited an H&R Block employee for non-business reasons.

The man allegedly visited the female employee on Saturday, May 15th, 2021 while she was at work at a local H&R Block and gave her a birthday card and a vase of flowers before being plucked from the woman's cubicle and arrested by six undercover FBI officers that happened to be at the facility. The man declared that her birthday was recent and that she invited him in to visit her. He also declared to have known her from a local restaurant where she used to waitress. Backup was called in and the employee was also arrested for harboring a disruption to the business environment and for obstruction when she attempted to stop the officers from arresting the man.

The man reportedly defended himself in court, declaring that the employee told him it was okay to visit her at her office job at H&R Block, to which the Judge replied; "We don't care. Your visit wasn't business-related, and you can not do that in this country." The Judge showed no remorse and sentenced the man to life imprisonment with the chance of parole in one hundred thirty five (135) years. The man is scheduled to begin serving his sentence at the Federal Correctional facility near Terre Haute, Indiana on Wednesday, October 6th and will be eligible for parole on November 25th, 2156. The employee was also sentenced to 135 years in prison for harboring a disruption to the business environment while at a closed-business setting.
