HUD passes new rules for all tenants nationwide.

But tenants that used to be allowed to keep tables, barbecue grills, or even a kayak or canoe in front of their HUD-subsidized apartment are learning that those items are no longer permitted anymore per new rules passed by HUD in September 2021, even if nothing gets obstructed by it. As of September 2021, the only items permitted to be stored outside any HUD-subsidized apartment within the United States of America is lawn chairs and nothing else. All non-furniture items such as kayaks, canoes, barbecue grills, tables, and other non-furniture items have been banned from all outdoor areas of all HUD-subsidized apartments nationwide by HUD in September 2021.
