Road rage incident in North Fort Myers with gun pulled lands 2 men in jail (nbc-2.com) — Two men were jailed after an alleged road rage confrontation in North Fort Myers where a passenger reportedly pointed a handgun at another driver near Pine Island Road and US-41. Deputies say the pickup's driver aggressively followed and brake-checked the victim before both suspects were detained and arrested on aggravated assault and aggravated stalking charges.
   

2. Edison-Ford exhibition, 'Birds of Southwest Florida' pays homage to Mina Edison's bird-watching (wgcu.org) — You can explore Mina Edison's love of birds at the new "Birds of Southwest Florida" exhibition at Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, running Sept. 1 through Dec. 6. 5. James Uthmeier Charges Illegal Alien for Alleged Battery on ICE Officers (floridianpress.com) — State officials say a woman was arrested after allegedly attacking federal immigration officers during a recent traffic stop in Fort Myers, leading to three felony battery charges. According to the Attorney General's office, she's accused of kicking and punching ICE officers, with the case investigated by Florida Highway Patrol, Fort Myers ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, and the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
