People need to stop spilling cap nails on the Midpoint Bridge!

At least 6 months in jail ought to await anyone seen spilling cap nails on the Midpoint Bridge.

Every day, bicyclists ride across the Midpoint Bridge to get between Fort Myers and Cape Coral. They generally ride on the right side shoulders and often ride far to the right to avoid getting hit by a car.

However, at the same time, lazy litterbugs are continuing to dump cap nails on the pavement on the bridge, most often on the shoulders. Numerous bicyclists have gotten flat tires riding over the bridge and running over those cap nails which are in fact even strong and sharp enough to breach copper. No bicycle tire barrier is strong enough to resist penetration by those hardened steel spikes.

There needs to be severe penalties for litter bugs that especially throw those tire-destroying cap nails on any street including the Midpoint Bridge, and including on the shoulders of the Midpoint Bridge.
