• Rabies Alert Issued For Parts Of Hillsborough County After Unvaccinated Cat Tests Positive (tampafp.com) — A 60-day rabies alert is now in effect for the Gibsonton area after an unvaccinated cat tested positive near U.S. 41 and Alice Avenue. If you live nearby, officials urge you to keep pets' vaccinations current, avoid contact with wild or stray animals, secure trash and outdoor food, and immediately report any bites or scratches to DOH-Hillsborough or Animal Control.
